Yet another brilliant idea

I had this idea while working on something at work. Basically its a application which can monitor several sources on data (database, txt file, spread sheet etc) and field or piece information or search a large area. Conditions could be specified and finally a method of warning could be chosen.

A check (based on the conditions) can be schedule

Example :

User enters a wizard which firstly helps them to choose a dat (lets say a database)

then user chooses which table/field/number of data to monitor

then user enters conditions e.g. fieldno = 2

and finally user decide how and who should be alerted if condition are met


simple but very usefull as a way of checking  if automated task are running successfully
